Whole-Home Repiping
Our Peeps Know Pipes.
We’ll ease your griping about leaky piping. If you have old iron water lines (galvanized steel) running through your home, or if you’ve experienced more than one slab leak, then there is very likely a chance you need to have new plumbing pipes installed throughout your home. The good news is that Service Legends has the high-quality training and certification to effectively repipe your home with PEX repiping.
No Pressure in your pipes. No pressure with our approach.
While it may be tempting financially to only do a partial repiping when you find you need it, it’s actually wise to invest in whole-house repiping, as it’s not a good idea to attach new piping to galvanized pipes already in your home. No matter what you decide though, our team is here to ensure that you aren’t left without water access for days and that you receive legendary customer service. We’re Water Flow Pros
These are the primary reasons our customers opted for a whole-house repipe:
Pipe & Slab Leaks
Have you had water leaks? If you suspect you have leaking pipes, or if you’ve been told you have a leak, you may have heard the term “slab leak” and “pinhold leak.” When we repipe a home after a slab leak has been identified, we route new piping through ceilings, attics, and walls; bypassing the slabs.
We’re water flow pros. You’ll never have to worry about a slab leak again. Complete repipes are guaranteed for life at Service Legends and will give you peace of mind against water leaks. With PEX piping, we guarantee you’ll be satisfied. Our peeps know pipes!
Preventative Maintenance
Concerns about your old piping? A whole-house repipe is often more affordable than you think. In certain neighborhoods, many of our customers are very familiar with the term ‘repipe’ from friends and neighbors that have already had their home repiped, even though they themselves have not yet experienced any repipe symptoms within their home pipes.
It is common that homes in the same neighborhood will have similar piping: and failures can happen in clusters across many nearby homes over a relatively short time period.
When old (or inferior) pipes fail and cause leaks – the damage can be considerably more expensive than a repipe. Particularly if the leak occurs when no one is home, or if it’s a slow leak that causes significant damage before being noticed (this is a common cause of homes needing very expensive mold remediation).
Low Water Pressure
It can be extremely frustrating rinsing the shampoo out of your hair under a trickling showerhead or waiting forever for a bathtub to fill up.
When low water pressure affects the whole home, it will take longer to wash your dishes, your clothes, and yourself.
There are numerous causes that can affect your home’s water pressure. Sometimes it can be your pressure regulator or a water meter valve partially closed. If mineral or rust buildup is clogging your pipes, a repipe may be your best solution.
However, the cause may also be due to clogged piping: particularly in the case of galvanized pipes. Pipes can develop interior corrosion and buildup which restricts water flow.
To counter the restricted water flow, sometimes homeowners (or plumbers) may increase the entry water pressure at their pressure regulator. This can eventually lead to leaks developing; turning what may have been just an inconvenience, into a source of very expensive damage.
Rusty Or Discolored Water
Rusty pipes are a common issue for homeowners. As faucets are turned on and off, causing the pressure inside the pipes to change repeatedly, it can cause loosened rust to dislodge from the pipe. This discolored water then makes its way through the water supply line into the bathroom and kitchen sinks, bathtubs, showers, and laundry room.
Galvanized pipes are also major culprits for dispensing rust-colored water. And in most cases, this is a systemic issue throughout home pipes. A repipe is usually the best solution for this problem when you have galvanized iron pipes.

What type of repiping do you do?
We replace existing fresh hot and cold water piping in residential homes, as well as in multi-family complexes.
We perform repipes with the highest quality, made-in-the-USA PEX tubing and Grade L copper pipes.
Repiping services we do not offer:
- Wastewater piping
- Gas piping
- Irrigation systems
- Epoxy pipe lining (we believe that pipe replacement is a superior solution vs lining old pipes with epoxy)
How long does the job take?
Often, we are able to complete a home repipe in a single day with the city inspection. Your water will be off during the middle of the day while we are repiping your home, but you will always have water by the end of the day.
Is Service Legends a licensed contractor?
Yes, we are a fully licensed contractor in the state of Iowa.
What type of repiping products do you use?
We only use the best PEX tubing and copper pipes, both made right here in the USA! Our in-house estimates will help you choose which material is best for you. Whichever you choose, they both come with lifetime warranties.
We use primarily PEX system of tubing and components. Unquestionably the best-engineered PEX system on the market. There are no chemicals, glues or solvents in PEX. The PEX system is also entirely lead-free.
PEX is superior in quality, comes with a lifetime guarantee, and provides the cleanest water supply for you and your family.
Copper quality varies dramatically. We only use Grade L, American-made copper pipes. They are, by far, the highest in quality and are manufactured to a precise, uniform standard. We are able to offer a lifetime guarantee because we use materials that are built to last.
